  • Could there be a narrower tube built into the seat tube that the post sit inside and the TT slides over? So the bolts you can see clamp all 3 parts together as one?

  • Absolutely fantastic

NO! Nothing that has a unicrown fork can be fantastic. It can not even be pornografic

  • Does this count :)

  • No, for several reasons.

    Beat me to it.

    Enlighten me :)

Reader's wives aren't welcome in this thread. The current projects thread is more suited for this.
Your kona is nice and composed, but not porn. Would fit in the functionnal thread...

  • Oops sorry guys thought I was in another thread !!! Yes this is most certainly not bike porn :)

  • awkward

Indeed !!! Can mods move it please don't want to clutter up the beauty on here with an almost OTP big brand fugly :)

  • At least it served the purpose of proving jenslp's point.

  • How? The fork crown might well be the nicest thing on that Kona, although the effect is somewhat spoiled by the brake caliper still wearing its packing tape.

I imagine the frame is bonded or moulded in one part, those bolts are just seat post binders, they don't hold the frame together.

  • where's the bolt on the lower (ST/SS) part?

It uses a Marman Clamp on the down tube

I leave them on all my bikes as they protect arms when fitting new cables or moving from bike to bike :)

  • It uses a Marman Clamp

    It's not rocket science :-)

  • Ben Ingham (Rapha photographer)'s new Bishop is quite nice.

Threaded headset on a custom-built frame with otherwise modern componentry?

  • I think it's odd but he's not the first. Plus it's fairly tasteful and classic - it's not like he's chucked 6800 on it.

Ed will be along to justify his choice on the Oakexplain why quill stems are just as good as aheads.

Christ, I pity the fool who gets that bind wrong.

  • Jaw dropped

  • G.Thomas Cribbs...

    "yoo doo the mathe"

  • somebody got lucky in the colnago thread

    It's not even my bike!

Ahead is better, quill for retrogrouch (like I and Dammit).
