He is probably quite flustered. I have found that after an incident my riding can become a bit erratic, one should really take a moment to calm down before heading off.
I didn't think the incident looked all that bad but I often find those cameras don't really show the danger of the situation that well, the lenses make things appear further away than they are and the size of the image is never going to adequately show the terror of having a huge vehicle charging at you from behind.
