For Sale: Raleigh Team TI new refurb

Team colour raleigh team TI (possibly raleigh team Record, old frame was pretty corroded with only team stickers visible)

sized pretty big at 58+. back end 130mm, with new top tube brake mounts fitted. i also have a chrome downtube clamp if you wish to run geared.

Newly refurbed with stem and new stronglight bearing headset fitted. Never used since refurb, no wheels even fitted, A+++ condition, seems a waste to have in my shed.

531 tubing, with pretty sweet open crown forks. Worksop Built, 1980 (BB code WMO 1500) Pick up in north london camden- kentish town.

Headtube suggests 60/62 size wise.

Yes that was it, pre badge, headset and 1977 TDF stickers.

It's old school big, 58 top of bb to seat clamp, 53 top tube, and 17 head tube. Te stem fitted is 80mm however this may not be original.

You must mean the back of the head tube, but who the heck ever measures a TT up that way???!

prob mistaken measure, basically it has a 53 top tube length and is 56 centre to centre.

has painted up nicely, the forks were chrome, but it was a small fortune to get these redone. m

Hi, This maybe a little late now but I've just come accross one in an old garage at a job I'm on, the old guy who owned it gave it to me as a bonus I guess. Anyway.... are these frames chrome under the paint? And should I leave it as is?
I'll be selling it 58cm ?

Hi,

depending on the frame some of them were chromed at the track ends or the fork tips, but they are not consistently chromed under the paint. if you can't see chrome unlikely to be there. there were many different models.

The serial will tell you a lot about whether it's worth keeping the paint and what it's worth. SB =$$$
