Unless Kimi decides to have a shit in Alonso's car before the start.

mmcarthy, is the cliche of hot-blooded Spaniard no longer have any credence?
I think teddies will be chucked so far out of the prom, that the velocity may kill innocent bystanders.

Just remembered, that it will be Jenson's first F1 race without his dad being there. I think Jenson will drive that bit more competitively, in memory of his dad, and it may mean a great season.
I wish Jenson the best, because his dad seemed a really good guy. If reliability isn't a problem, I think Jenson may get onto the podium. If he does, there'll be waterworks.

Practice 1 on now.
Watching on streaming.

• #3931
I think these practice sessions will be the most important in the last few decades - to the teams, and to the fans. I expect the race to only confirm what we learn from the free practices.
Qualifying will be truly special too, as know one knows yet who's really fast, and is anybody sandbagging - McLaren?
Any predictions, pre-practise and pre-qualies?
Is the silly money going on Massa for the win?
Am I the only one thinking that Red Bull might be sandbagging?

If Red Bull have the ultimate potential they had last year, for now, they're playing catch up. Renault have said that their engines are cleared for full power use, so it's only car set up that they need to finalise.
I think they're still shaking down, but if Newey has found a way to steal a march on the others, again, then yes, they could be holding back. Though I'm hoping for anybody but Red Bull to win.

I said it before, that Red Bull is very fast. I think Vettel is favourite for the season - as much as it pains me to say it. Hopefully I'll be proven wrong when the Bulls only manage 10 laps in Sunday's race - and the next 5 races after that.
On another note, GA2G, Nico beating Lewis...? BLASPHEMY!!!

One thing that makes me very happy indeed... That pathetic idiot Maldonado treated Williams like crap, took an undeserved seat that he got through being a pay driver and now has a donkey of a car while Williams are looking good :)
-
• #3935
*Red Bull's **Sebastian Vettel *tells his team: "The car is horrible." His engineer replies: "Can you explain what is horrible? "Drivability, the car doesn't accelerate."
Lolz.

Jesus. That's serious.
But, I can almost guarantee that he'll be on the mega-rampage when they get it sorted.

Force India are looking surprisingly tasty.
And Alonso and Raikkonen are separated by whole seconds. Alonso grinning off into the distance.
-
• #3938
Kimi's stacked it, big time! grins
The Aussie crowd go mad as Vettel doesn't make it out of Q2.
Looks like his treatment of Webber won't be forgotten quite yet.

• #3939
GET IN LEWIS.
Told you the RB was fast....

Ron Dennis will be addressing the next board meeting with an I told you so.
Well done to Nico, Riccardo and Magnussen.
With both Lewis and Vettel retiring early, they have it all to do.
Well it looks like Red Bull and Mercedes certainly have the pace. I'm already looking forward to the next race, which will be live on the Beeb.

Which has promoted Jenson to third. Shame he wasn't actually on the podium. Even the TV presenters were practically willing him on.
So McLaren are leading the team and drivers championships, thats both amazing and fortuitous. I don't expect that to last for very long though. But it is good to see McLaren back near the front.
Ferrari seem to have a poor engine. (and now the silence is deafening)
-
• #3949
.......Shame that Ferrari isn't at the front though, but I'm not surprised, as I did write long ago, on this thread, that I didn't think Ferrari could compete in small engine designs.
Are you joking? Ferrari, the company that has been building the world's most intricate twelve-cylinder engines ............
Get a clue,........Guffaws.

• #3950
Hang on, didn't all the Ferrari engined cars finish, bar one? 16 points for the red cars too. How did your beloved Lewis get on?
Ridiculous comment or trolling?
I can't see Alonso or Raikkonen having any sort of fall out to be honest. At this point they're pretty professional with their racing. I reckon we're more likely to see fireworks between the Mercedes pair than anyone else.
